More things I want

I have neglected my lessons, and all I have accomplished was to think of more things I wanted to learn.

Things I'm adding to my list:

I want to take the info comm classes for audio visual technicians, part of me is afraid it will be too hard for me, which is me being silly.

I would like to read more labor books, there is a labor book group, which is interesting but I don't like the pressure of book groups, because sometimes I just can't read it. Or I get busy... I just found out that this group is run by a woman I know, and maybe I'll ask her more about it. But I am interested in the politics and economics of labor.

I want to take a pottery class, because the pottery studio is right freaking down the street, but it's pricey, not that I don't blow that sort of money on shoes.

But I did take a class on writing grievances, which was very timely, since I wrote one tonight. I plan to catch up on the video class on Sunday, I'm half way through the first week and we are about to start week three. So not so bad, and that is the only one on some sort time schedule, especially since I bought the knitting book.

I'll try to update on Sunday evening.

Hello

My name is Bunny. It's a nickname. I've had it since the days when I was young and cute. Now, I'm not so young, or cute.

Anyway, this blog isn't so much about me necessarily, but it is going to be about me, but about me learning some new stuff. I've always liked knowing things, and learning new things, but the lure of television, and sudoku, and the cats who are, as I type trying to climb onto my arms, sometimes saps my motivation, so, thus the blog.

Well, currently, I am reading a book on negotiating "Getting to Yes", I think I heard of it from the economist obituary, anyway, it's pretty interesting, I'm listening on audiobook, so,I might relisten to it a few times. I am a member of a union, and I am often part of a bargaining unit, not always as part of a contract negotiation, but in discussions about management labor things, resolving issues, as they become issues. This book has given me a few things to think about, but we will let that ruminate in my brain.

I have also signed up for an online class, about argument called Think Again, I haven't started the course materials, but it seems very interesting, it think its three video lectures a week and some comprehension quiz work, and maybe some online discussion. I like the idea of the online classes, I took a peak at some of them though, and I might only be able to take simple humanities classes, and I'm not sure how many of those I will end up taking, but who knows.

Next, I have borrowed The Principles of Knitting from the library, and I think I'm going to buy a copy, and go through the chapters one by one, since the first page recommended I learn several different ways to knit, now I'm hooked.

Lastly, I want to do all the lessons in the Mary Frances books, that I heard about from Franklin Habit, the two I'm interested in checking out are the the sewing one, and the knitting one, I'm pretty sure the knitting one wont have too much for me, but... Could be fun.

Those are the things I would like to tackle in the next year... Though now that I write this I could also throw in Sew U. I want to be a better than decent seamstress, and maybe I'll do one of those great courses, courses.

Maybe I'll learn to write.
